We are using banana in our diet since time immemorial, but,never tried to know It's benefits,micro¯onutrients,how many to eat....etc,Lets know about banana &its benifits in depth .......
BENIFITS:-
MACRONUTRIENTS:-
One medium sized banana has around 125 calories.
Primarily it is source of carbohydrates
One banana has:-
Carbohydrates-25 grams
Out of which -3grams fibre
&14grams of natural sugar fructose
Protein - 1 g
MICRONUTRIENTS:-
Vitamin B6 - 0.5 mg
Manganese - 0.3 mg
Vitamin C - 9 mg
Potassium - 450 mg
Magnesium - 34 mg
Folate - 25.0 mcg
Riboflavin - 0.1 mg
Niacin - 0.8 mg
Vitamin A - 81 IU
Iron - 0.3 mg
HOW MANY BANANAS/DAY:-
It's a very common question which arises in our mind ,lets know the answer-
Gym goers:-
1.You can use it as pre work out as will provide you sustained energy during your workout.
2.U can also use it as post workout as it replenishes your glycogen stores quickly
3.If you are on a fat loss diet/program then you can have 1-2 bananas a day.I would not recommend you more than 2 as it will be difficult for you balance your macros.
4.If you are on a muscle building diet you can easily have upto 6 bananas a day,going beyond 6 bananas is usually not recommended due to its high pottasium&fibre levels
Non gym goers:-
People who don't do any heavy exercise/do little bit of walking jogging etc. Can have 1-2 bananas per day which is good enough
BENIFITS IN MEDICAL CONDITION:-
1.Due to high fibre content banana is great in preventing constipation
2.Helps in reducing blood pressure
3.Supports healthy heart
4.Reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes
5.Makes you feel better by increasing the level of serotonin(Feel good hormone) in brain.
6.Banana is very commonly used to treat diarrhoea patients.I am sure u must have used this technique.

WHEN TO AVOID BANANA
1.patients on Beta-Blockers:-as beta blockers raise the blood pottasium levels very high,further eating banana which is very rich in pottasium may be dangerous.
2.Migraine:-it is seen that more than one banana a day stimulates migraine

1.bread peanut butter sanwitch
2.banana milk smoothie
3.banana roti roll
4.banana pancakes
5.banana sweets
If you are not eating banana then what are you waiting for ,just add banana to your diet on regular basis.
